Leicester's Paterson Dhaka Starts Premier League Journey
Leicester City have made their debut in the Premier League with a new signing from Bangladesh.
Paterson, who was previously playing for the Bangladesh Cricket Team, has joined Leicester on loan until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old is expected to make his debut for the Foxes in the opening match of the campaign against Crystal Palace at home on Saturday.
His arrival comes as a boost for Leicester, who were knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain last week.
He will be hoping to make an impact in the Premier League and help Leicester push for promotion to the top flight next season.
"Paterson is a talented player who brings experience and quality to our squad," said manager Craig Shakespeare.
"He is a good fit for us and I'm looking forward to seeing him perform for us this season."
Paterson began his career at Manchester United before moving to Nottingham Forest in 2016.
He made 59 appearances for the Reds, scoring six goals, before joining the Bangladesh cricket team in 2017.
In addition to his footballing talents, Paterson is also a skilled cricketer and played for the Bangladesh national team in the Asia Cup earlier this year.
He is currently ranked as the No. 1 all-rounder in Bangladesh and is known for his pace and spin bowling.
Overall, Paterson's arrival at Leicester is likely to be a positive step for the club and could help them challenge for promotion in the coming seasons.
