Latest news: Youssoufa Moukoko, a star forward, has been confirmed as Borussia Dortmund's new forward.
Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Youssoufa Moukoko from Red Star Belgrade for a reported fee of €12 million.
The 16-year-old forward is widely regarded as one of Europe's brightest young talents and was named in France Football's under-17 World Cup Team of the Year last year.
Moukoko will join Dortmund on loan until June 2024 with the option to buy him permanently at the end of the season. He will also be eligible to play for the Serbian national team if he qualifies before his contract expires in 2025.
Dortmund manager Lucien Favre said: "We're very happy to bring Youssoufa to our club. He's a fantastic player who shows great potential."
Red Star coach Predrag Mitrovic added: "I'm really sad that this chapter ends, but I wish Youssoufa all the best for the future."
Moukoko will likely make his debut for Dortmund against VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday. He will be eager to impress his new teammates and fans alike and could potentially become a key part of the team's attack in the coming years.
